Task #2 (Pre Trial Prep Slides)

Students will be getting into their groups for trial prep. Students will continue to work on their  pre-trial Google slideshow on their case. Remember you can use your previous versions to work from.

  1. Students will be able to behaviorally analyze a killer without teacher’s assistance with 80% accuracy in 4 of 5 trials by completion of the unit.
  2. Articulate the prevalence and patterns of forms of serial homicide over time.
  3. Apply and contrast the main criminological theories used to explain serial homicide and speak to the respective empirical validity of each as applied to this rare form of criminal offending.
  4. Articulate the strategies of investigation and crime scene analysis used in the used in the investigation and prosecution of serial offenders.

Now that we have broken down our Cornell notes and analyzed the information further we are going to get into groups of four. In your group of four one person needs to download, save, and share the assignment below to their peers and to me at MrTylersLessons@gmail.com This action plan template is used in everything from Law Enforcement to Education. As a group you are going to sit down and decide what can be done to help improve society in order to help slow down or even stop mass shootings from becoming so frequent.

Extra Credit Opportunity:

For those of you who are completely done and ready for grading here is an opportunity for you. I want you to write or type a five academic paragraph report on a Criminal Behavior topic of your choosing. It can be on any topic we have preciously done in class. This means you can choose anything from Psychiatric Disorders to Prisons. You are welcome to write either a standard research report or  persuasive essay. You have a lot of freedom here so chose a topic that interests you. I will give you +500 points for this essay depending on its quality. If you need help organizing your work there is a template below.
