Warm Up:

  1. Do you believe it be beneficial to look at more video clips from the Simpson investigation and trial? Why or why not? Explain your answer.
  2. Why do you think that the detectives let Simpson go after his initial questioning regarding the death of his wife?

Task #3 (Trial Prep)

Reminder: Both of these real world cases you have chosen as a class bring about important topics we have yet to discuss. The O.J. Simpson case is a good example of how to handle, or not handle, an investigation into a homicide.

Friday we looked at the West Memphis Three trial. Today we will continue taking Cornell notes on the OJ Simpsons case in order to get all students familiar with this trial. Yesterday showed we are going to need more time to continue looking at the angels of this case and its impact on society.

Task #5 

We did not get to this step yesterday or the day before. On a separate sheet of paper you are now going to write an academic paragraph about the OJ Simpson case.  You will be turning this paragraph in before your leave. The purpose of this paragraph is to show you understand the case, the charges, the defendants, the strengths and weaknesses of the prosecution and defense teams as well as why the court reached the verdict it did.

We are now going to break back out to our trial teams and continue to get ready for trial.
