Task #1 (Permanent Teams)

On Friday we finished class by working together as a group to improve our Mock Trial Game Schedule. One of the ideas that the class supported, and I approved, was permanent teams in order to build synergy and trust. So the first thing we will do today is figure out who is wanting to be permanently assigned to what team.

Task #2 (New Cases)

Next up we will use a random generator (hat with cases and sides in it that students will pull slips from) to chose which teams will receive what cases and sides. Our new cases are below.

Case #1 – People v Andrew Madison

Case #2 – People v McGrew

Task #3 (Role Research and Prep)

After teams have been selected the next thing you need to do is determine who will be fulfilling what role. I will be passing around a sign up sheet for your table to use. You will have 20 minutes to determine what role each of you will fulfill.

Task #4 (Trial Prep)

Now, depending on the roll you chose you will begin preparing for trial on Monday. If you are a witness you need to start memorizing your roll. If you are an attorney in charge of questioning then you need to start determining what questions you want to ask each witness, if you are in charge of opening/closing arguments you need to begin to get familiar with the case and writing your arguments.
