Warm Up:

For today’s warm up I am going to give 10 minutes to get familiar with the new cases that have been released. At the end of the ten minutes you will all move to the back of the room and then chose your trial teams.

Task #1

Here are the positions of the tables for the new cases.

Case #1 – columbia-v-chris-archer

Case #2 – us-v-dominique-stephens

Mock Trial Team Prep Locations

Task #2

After teams have been selected the next thing you need to do is determine who will be fulfilling what role. I will be passing around a sign up sheet for your table to use. You will have 20 minutes to determine what role each of you will fulfill.

Task #3

Now, depending on the roll you chose you will begin preparing for trial on Monday. If you are a witness you need to start memorizing your roll. If you are an attorney in charge of questioning then you need to start determining what questions you want to ask each witness, if you are in charge of opening/closing arguments you need to begin to get familiar with the case and writing your arguments.
