Period 2 - World History

Agenda:

Warm Up:

Looks at the image below and be ready for discussion. It is another old political cartoon from the Age of Imperialism. On your warm up paper list the animals you see and the countries they represent. Once you are done answer these questions.

  1. What country are they fighting over?
  2. Why do you think the dragon is drawn looking dead?
  3. How did the artist show the alliances that were in effect at this time?

Task #1 

Once we are done with our warm up we are going to grab the chromebooks and look over the introductory level work you did on Imperialism yesterday. I have made comments on your work. You need to address these comments. If you were absent you need to download, save, and share the assignment file below to MrTylersLessons@gmail.com

Task #2

Each group will now chose two topics that they will become experts at.

Task #3

Now in each group you will determine which two people in the group are going to work on the two topics the group chose.

Task #4

In your pairs hunt for a video that is short and does a good explanation of your topic. When you have found one e-mail me the link at MrTylersLessons@gmail.com In this e-mail briefly state WHY this video was created by a credible source.

Task #5

In your pairs, one of you download the document below and share it to the other. As a pair you will need to fill out this form on YOUR topic. This is the research needed before you can begin your presentation project. Make sure to title this document and share it to me at MrTylersLessons@gmail.com
