Warm Up: Quick Write

Look at the image below. Be ready to discuss it. Directions for your quick write: “Describe the living conditions for the average person during the Industrial Revolution?”

Agenda:

Task #1 -Midterm Recap

We are going to look over the midterm individually and see how we did. Where we were strong and where we need improvement.

Task #2 – Grade Checks

I want you to now look over your grades through your student portals and make sure they are accurate. These are the grades that I will be submitting to the school this afternoon for semester grades.

Task #3 – Jobs for Children during the Industrial Revolution

Each group will be answering the questions below on paper. Be ready to share out.

Group #1 – Which of the jobs do you see as the most dangerous one? Why?

Group #2 – Which of the jobs do you see as the least dangerous? Why?

Group #3 – What safety precautions did you see the workers use in the job descriptions?

Group #4 – Do you think people during the Industrial Revolution cared about their children less than they do today? Explain your answer.

Group #5 – Why do you think as a society workers allowed themselves to be given jobs like these?
