Task #3 –
Yesterday you created a handwritten essay analyzing Robert Porter. This is your rough draft copy. Today you will be cleaning up your work and submitting it electronically. I will be handing back your rough draft versions with my signature and the signature of the sub. This is your proof that you worked while I was gone yesterday. Look over your work make sure you made non of the following common mistakes that I saw when reading through your work this morning.
TIPS FOR IMPROVING YOUR WRITING
#1 – Ditch the “I” word.
#2 – A paragraph is no LESS than 5 sentences.
#3 – Check your grammar (past vs present tenses)
#4 – If you are going to use contractions. Tell us what the full word is first. This goes for acronyms. Anti-Social Personality Disorder.
#5 – Make sure your paragraphs go: CLAIM, SUPPORTING EVIDENCE, SUPPORTING EVIDENCE, SUPPORTING EVIDENCE, SUPPORTING EVIDENCE
When you are ready go to Google and create a new Google doc. Title it “Period – Your Name – Robert Porter Analysis”. Then from here make sure to share it to MrTylersLessons@gmail.com Once this is done type up your essay. If you have any problem raise your hand and I will come around to help you.
