Greece and Rome.


The Democratic Tradition

Warm Up

Directions: When you come in today you will see small pieces of paper on the desk next to the door. Please take one, write your name on it, and then answer the question below.

Question – “What is the biggest difference you saw between Greek and Roman culture?”


Task #1 –

Yesterday we started looking at the differences between Greece and Rome through notes. Today we will be looking at them through video. While we look at the video we will be taking observation notes on these two different cultures.

Video 1 – Forgotten Empires: Ancient Greece

Video 2 – Ancient Rome


Task #2 – 

Be ready to use your observation notes to create a Venn diagram with the information.

1.What would you say is the most important fact about Greece a person should remember?

2. What would you say is the most important fact about Rome a persons should remember?
