Today’s Objective(s):

Today you will be conducting the real trial of Billings v Pearson.

Agenda:

Warm Up (0 minutes)

There will be no warm up today in order to give us the maximum amount of time for trial.

Task #1 (1 minutes)

When you come in today take your seats in your roles. Remember we will be representing the Prosecution. To VIEW the SIGN UP SHEET for this trial click HERE. To actually edit the sign up sheet you will need to go through your e-mail and click the link that was sent to you.

Task #2 (60 minutes)

Today we will be conducting a fun competitive trial. I listed our guests below.

VISITING ROLES:

JUDGE – The HONORABLE Judge Apilado

DEFENSE ATTORNEY – Victoria Moreno (Real Law Student in College)

JURY: We will be having 5 Senior AVID students come over to play our jury.

CAMERA CREW: Mr. Wilson’s Advanced Film Class.

Task #3 ( 30 minutes)

Debrief of the case and interview with Camera students.

Task #4 (10 minutes)

Jury Deliberation:

In the end the jury came to a 4-3 decision. 4 guilty verdicts and 3 not guilty.
