Agenda:

Warm Up (1 minutes)

Message from Mr. Tyler:

I am gone today due to the fact that someone got me sick. I am planning on being back by tomorrow one way or another. Be ready to do these two trials when I get back.

Task #1 (3 minutes)

Review your cases.

To VIEW the SIGN UP SHEET you can CLICK HERE. To actually edit and modify it though you have to go through the invite that was e-mailed to you.

Case #1 – Elyse Roberts v DC

Case #2 – Decker v Metro City Police Dept

Task #2 (2 minutes)

At this point you have had 180 minutes of class time to get completely ready for both trials. However, a significant number of you have not shared your work with me yet. You must share a copy of your work to me for credit. For example if you are writing the opening argument you need to share that to me. If you have not shared all necessary court prep work by the end of the period today I will not accept it for credit. This is your last warning.

Task #3 (80 minutes)

Today you are going to be writing an official case brief again. This one will be on the last cases we started working on. Not Billings v Pearson. It is due before you leave class today. Below is the blank template version and the example of a fully completed trial brief. Download, save, and share the template to me and fill it out using your case packet. Use the example to help you figure out what goes in each section.
