Students will be able to behaviorally analyze a killer without teacher’s assistance with 80% accuracy in 4 of 5 trials by completion of the unit.

Today’s Objective:

Students will demonstrate introductory level understanding of how to behaviorally break down a serial killer’s personality to 70% accuracy. This will be demonstrated by their responses to the experts information about serial killers.

One-on-One Murder, Modus-Operandi, signature, characteristics


Warm Up:

What is the difference between a mission oriented killer and a visionary style killer?

Task #1:

Today we will be seeing experts ( Harold Schechter-author, Jack Levin – criminologist, Col. Robert K. Ressler – Founder of FBI -Behavioral Science Unit, Richar Laurie – Author) discuss the backgrounds and mental states of Gacy, Fish, Chikatilo, and Dahmer. As they are discussing I want you to answer a set of questions that have previously been prepared by me for you. These questions are meant to help you remember key pieces of information becuase I will be asking deeper follow up questions when we are finished.
