Psychiatric Disorders Commonly Associated with Criminal Behavior
Today’s Objective –
Students will conclude their analysis and synthesize data they gather on a fictional character named Prot into a well written evaluation of his criminal and psychiatric condition
Today’s Agenda –
Step #1 – Grab your notebooks and papers from yesterday.
Step #2 –We are going to continue on your “My Analysis Questions” page.
Step #3 – Get ready to watch the last sections of the video. At the end of each section you will continue to see the Costa’s questions come back up. You will be writing and answering your questions again today.

Step #4 – Remember the ultimate goal of your questions is to help you determine what psychiatric condition Prot is suffering from.
Step #5 – Get ready to write an academic paragraph answering the question. “What diagnosis would you give Prot? Why?”
Step #6 – After viewing the video clips of Prot you will be diagnosing him with a mental disorder(s). We will be using the Chavez Academic Paragraph Writing Format. Your diagnosis paragraph will be evaulated by yourself and a peer using the CCHS Academic Writing Rubric. Today we got through meeting Prot and taking behavioral observations. For examples of ungraded student work from last term please download the file below. In class today we will be talking about what is good and what needs to be improved in these essays.
