Application of Killer Behavioral Analysis Knowledge
Unit S.M.A.R.T. Goal:
Students will be able to behaviorally analyze a killer without teacher’s assistance with 80% accuracy in 4 of 5 trials.
Students will apply their recently gained knowledge for analyzing a person’s behavior to the case of the Charles Manson. They will be using a grid base and form to do their analysis. Success will be measured on how successful they are at stating their analysis and backing it up with evidence from the case.
Behavioral Norms (Student Developed):
- “Respect others opinions”- Selena (20 votes)
- “Staying on task” – Israel /Ally/Kenny ( 21 votes)
- “Only one person is allowed to talk at a time” – Charles (22 votes)
- “If you feel like you are going to lose control or getting irritated you need to let Mr. Tyler know and stand outside his door” – Tyler (23 votes)
One-on-One Murder, Modus-Operandi, signature, characteristics, antecedent behavior
Task #1 – Quick Quiz -“What are two similarities between Seda (Zip Guns), Hoffman (Bombs), and Caster (AntiFree)?”
Task #2 – Pracitice writing conclusions. I noticed yesterday that the conclusions you guys turned in were weaker than usual. I just want to make sure we are good with writing conclusions.

Task #4 – Now we are going to briefly look over the Charles Manson interview from 1987. This will give us a Disciple example.
Task #5 – Don’t forget your projects are due this Friday. I will be leaving time in class available today for us to cover any questions you may have about the assignment. I also will be giving you more questions for your consideration if you have run into a wall with your writing.

Serial Killer/ Mass Murderer Project – Several students asked for the instructions for the unit project so that they could begin.
