Unit S.M.A.R.T. Goal:

Students will be able to examine the changing patterns of immigration from the 19th through the 20th centuries,  consider the challenges and contributions of immigrants, and analyze the “push” and “pull” influences of immigration (i.e. economic factors, advertising, political oppression, belief in social mobility) to 80% in 3 of 4 trials.

Today’s Objective:

Today students will be practicing answering complex questions about the Progressive Era utilizing primary documents. The goal of this is to continue to improve students critical reading skills and writing.

Behavioral Norms (Student Developed):

Agenda:

Task #1 – I have developed a packet of primary document based questions for you to answer on your own today. You are welcome to ask questions for clarification, but I otherwise want you to determine these answers on your own. I want to see what your skills are currently. I attached a word document of today’s exercise below.
