Organized Crime

Unit S.M.A.R.T. Goal:

Students will be able to identify and distinguish the differences between the origins, businesses, terminology, and mentalities of the following organized crime organizations: Russian Mafia, Yakuza, Mexican Cartel, and La Cosa Nostra in 3 of 4 formative assessment trials with 80% accuracy.

Today’s Objective:

Students will analyzing the Russian Mafia organized crime group. Students will be specifically looking at structure, history, and their income sources.

#1 – We are going to make a comparasion grid to compare what we have learned today about the Russian Mafia again what we already know about the Mexican Cartel, Cosa Nostra, and YaKuZa.

#2 – I will be giving you new information on the group known as the Russian Mafia. As we learn about the group note the similarities and differences they share with the other groups.
