Unit S.M.A.R.T. Goal:

Students will understand the United States’s growth rate during this period with 90% accuracy in 3 of 4 trials.

Today’s Objective:

Students will be able to discuss the military and political conditions that led to the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation and General Order 143. Today will be building on yesterday and in honor of Black History Month we will be paying particular attention to the 54th Massachusetts. This objective was begun on Wednesday (2-18-2015). We will be finishing this objective today.

Task #1 – Quick review of the material on the Emancipation Proclamation and General Order 143 from Tuesday and Wednesday.

Task #2 – Review the material on the 54th Massachusetts voluntary regiment.

Task #4 – Students will continue practicing questioning materail using Costas Levels of Thinking and Questioning. Over the course of today’s class student’s will be expected to develop 10 higher level thinking questions.
