Prison Systems

Unit S.M.A.R.T. Goal:

90% of students will be able to state the differences and similarities with different prison systems from around the world as well as know the pros and cons to these various systems.

Today’s Objective:

Students will be analyzing Russian Maximum Security prisons. Specifically Black Dolphin in an attempt to discern differences between the way the U.S. runs its prisons and other countries.

Maximum Security; Prison; inmate; Caucasian Mountain Shepard


Task #1- We are going to set up a data gathering form to be able to help us identify aspects of Maximum security prisons that are different from those in the U.S.

Task #2 – Now we are going to look at video clips from various prisons in Russia today to see how they treat inmates, their rules and policies, and inmate rights.
