Final Exam Day – Part II (In Class)
Students will examine both the 1970s Zodiac killer and the 1990’s Zodiac killer from New York to see if in fact NYPD is correct in their belief that they captured the real Zodiac Killer. Success will be measured by analyzing the two cases, comparing and contrasting them, and using academic language to support your belief that the NYPD really did or did not capture the Zodiac Killer.
Task #1 – As quickly as we can we will be combining your Final Project Psychological Evaluation papers.
Task #2 – Next we will be looking over basic questions that teachers tend to ask about the Zodiac killer. We will be taking these and stepping them up to Costa’s Level 3.
Task #3- We will be looking at a video clip on the Zodiac Killer case from the 1970s and answering these level 3 questions.
Task #4- Next we will be setting up a Cornell Note Style paper take down information on the Zodiac Killer that struck New York in the 1990s.
Task #5 – Now we will have a brief discussion on the two different times the “Zodiac Killer” struck.
Task #6 – Writing assignment – Topic “Do you believe that the Zodiac killer that struck San Francisco in the 1970s was the same one that struck New York in the 1990s? Why do you believe your stance? What three pieces of supporting evidence do you have to support your stance?”
Ticket out the Door:
Question “Think of the units that we did in class this semester. What were your top three favorite units? Why? Is there a way to improve these units?”
Have a great Winter Break & check back on Friday (12-18-2014) to see what your grades are on Synergy. I will also post them to my website’s grade page as well.
