Organized Crime – The Triads
Students will review their introductory information on the Triads as well as practice boiling down their impressions of various aspects of organized crime organizations to one word and explaining why they believe that one word carries so much meaning.
Task #1 – Individually review our introductory material. I will be posting 10 questions up on the screen at the beginning of class. By yourself and without the use of a cell phone try to answer the questions to the best of your ability. I am curious to see what you remember.
Task #2 – Now we will move into groups. Each student will have their own paper. I will be posting questions up on the overhead one at a time. Answer these questions with a one word answer followed by a sentence explaining why that one word can convey your enter answer.
Check out this link on the Triads for more information on their group -> The Triads. The more you know about them the better you will do when we finish today’s activity tomorrow.
WHST 11-12.4 – Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.
