Organzied Crime – Los Zetas


Students will visually analyze and examine a young teens life as he gets pulled into the world of Organized Crime. We will be doing this through video clip analysis and Cornell notes.


Step #1 – Teacher performance survey. I want to know how I am doing so I can improve. When you get into class today please login to (room name: a89559b4). There are seven open ended quick questions I would like you to respond to.

Step #2 – Law & Order T-Shirt Designs. We are designing t-shirts for our SLC. I want these shirts to be designed by students. Once I have received enough student designs the Law & Order students will vote on which design they like the best. The reason we are doing this is because we want to raise money for our SLC to be able to do things and get some experience with people and places in Law & Order. We are also raising money for our Mock Trial team so they can go to this year’s competition. You are not going to be graded on artistic ability. You will be graded on effort. I am telling you about this assignment today and it will be due Friday. Step #3 – Cesar Chavez Cook Book. This is another way of raising money for our Law & Order SLC. This assignment is extra credit through. I will give you 5 points of extra credit for each recipe you bring in. Instructions are here -> Recipe Format. If the recipe is not in this format I will have to give your work back to you till you correct it.

Step #4 – Today we will be looking briefly at a documentary made about the Los Zetas. We will be practicing our Cornell Notes skills with this video. The essential question will be developed by students using the costas-levels-of-thinking-and-questioning.
