TEACHING AGENDA –

15 Minutes – Students will take a quiz on the material from chapter 3 – American Free Enterprise

15 Minutes– Students will turn in homework and review homework.

15 Minutes– Students will be introduced to the concept of “Demand”

15 Minutes- Activity: By themselves or in pairs students are to try and identify current “fads” in the U.S. Economy.

15 Minutes- Students will be introduced to the demand curve.

15 Minutes – Students will practice using a demand curve.

HOMEWORK – Review the concepts from today for a quiz tomorrow.

Criminal Behavior HeaderPERIOD 2,3 – Criminal Behavior

TODAY’S TOPIC – Organized Crime

TEACHING OBJECTIVE – Students will be examining the impact of D-Company (organized crime from India and the United Arab Emirates) and Los Zetas (Organized crime from Mexico) on the United States as well as looking at the cultural differences between the two.

TEACHING AGENDA –

20 Minutes – Introduction to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Students will be shown a video clip of when Gabriel Iglesias visited the Middle East so they can hear about how the country really is instead of what television and movies would have Americans believe. While this is being shown students will have a piece of paper to take down notes on what they have learned about what it is really like in the Middle East.

15 Minutes– Students will be introduced to the criminal organization known as D-Company.

15 Minutes– Activity – Students will be shown the maps from “Student Resources” on the flow of international crime. In this activity the map will be left up and students will have to make observations about what they are seeing happening in the map.

15 Minutes- Students will be given a brief introduction to the organized crime group “Los Zetas”.

15 Minutes-Activity – Students will be shown the maps from “Student Resources” on the flow of crime coming into the U.S. from Mexico. In this activity the map will be left up and students will have to make observations about what they are seeing happening in the map.
